a little bit of me.

finally, the new school year starts. not trying to sound nerdy or anything, but it is actually something i'm looking forward to. and to be honest, it's quite refreshing, it is definitely a new experience. with subjects such as 'writing for the media', 'media discourse', 'making magazine' and 'literary journalism', this course is something different from what i have been doing before. The teachers/lecturers are definitely a breath of fresh air, especially compared to the lecturers and tutors that i have had for my bachelor degree, people teaching accounting, finance, economics and the sorts, which truth to be told, can be quite dull. the small classrooms has probably helped the cause also. anyway, i'll review on this again sometimes in the future and if my opinion still stands, we'll just have to wait and see.

simply said,,it was amazing. shame that the only stage that could be classified as a laneway stage is the reiby place stage, which hosts bands such as love is all, sleepy jackson and midnight juggernauts. the main stage itself, the park stage, could not exactly be categorized as a 'laneway' type stage, but despite that it host some great shows by camera obscura, peter bjorn & john and also yo la tengo. Great weather definitely helped this occassion, even more suprising, right after the show finished, which is about 10 PM, rain came pouring down, and did not stop until a couple of days later. I'll post some pics from that later.
